What is the Andover Youth Foundation?

Established in 2000 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit , the mission of the Andover Youth Foundation is to support Andover Youth Services as they provide critical support for the children in our community and to work towards fulfilling our ultimate goal, which is to build the Cormier Youth Center. The Andover Youth Foundation is comprised of a team of community volunteers who dedicate themselves to creating opportunities for the youth in town. AYS aims to provide young people with useful experiences that promote healthy growth and development. It is our goal to build a network of accessible, safe and challenging youth programs that appeal to the diverse interests of adolescents and their families. AYS creates social programs, support services, educational and leadership development opportunities as well as networking and advocacy outlets. The Foundation supports Youth Services with guidance, volunteering and fundraising. Funds raised are applied toward our youth center fund as well as the youth services budget, allowing us to continue creating programs for youth of Andover. Support from the Foundation allows young people to use their creativity and spontaneity in positive ways to have an impact on their personal development and to become a productive part of our community. The Foundation has raised $2 million dollars since starting its quest over a decade ago. AYF's support allows young people to use their creativity and spontaneity in positive ways to have an impact on their personal development and to become a productive part of our community.
