Is there a public swimming area in town?
Yes, Pomps Pond is located off Abbot Street and is part of the Recreation Park complex. The pond offers a spacious sunbathing area, recreational swimming, shaded picnic grounds, childrens playgroud area, volleyball net, sailboat, canoe and kayak rentals, bathrooms, showers and a concession stand.
